Brightening Futures
Our skills camps are specifically designed to give your students an opportunity to prepare for their Post-16/18 education and to gain qualifications that help them to stand out from the crowd. Although the camps still include a variety of our adventurous activities, we also focus on the development of core competencies through workshops and feedback and reflection sessions run in the evenings of the camps and during the activities.
Our workshops are run by practicing partners from Magic Circle law firms and doctors from London Teaching Hospitals; giving participants unrivalled access to expert knowledge and tips for application and interview.
As an accredited assessment and community outreach centre for Sports Leaders UK we deliver:
- Level 1 and Level 2 Sports Leader.
- Level 3 Higher Sports Leader Award.
- Level 3 Basic Expedition leader (BEL) Award.
- Level 3 Walking Group Leader (WGL) Award.
To qualify for the BEL and/or WGL participants must have a 3 day HSE approved First Aid at Work (FAAW) Certificate. This can be delivered by our specialist instructors in-house before or during the camps. This is another feather in the cap of the participants.
Each of our skills camps is designed to allow participants to gain one of the qualifications above as well as build a bank of skills and experiences to talk about in personal statements and interviews.
