Day Trips

Learning outside the classroom is an important development opportunity for every child, and allows students to look at education and learning in a whole new light. In 99% of cases brings out their best qualities and strengths, whilst also identifying key areas of weaknesses to work on improving! At Treejumpers we also encourage active education supporting the government’s campaign to cut child obesity levels, due to the range of activities on offer the students will be raising their heartbeat and using body muscles without even realising it!

Multi Activity

Multi Activity days are a great way of offering variety and a perfect way to give students a taster of several activities in just one day! You could combine Aerial Adventure with Archery, Caving, Air rifles or Bushcraft skills or you may want to combine land based and water-based activities in a surf and turf day! Activities available will depend on the size of your group and pricing will depend on the activities chosen but whatever you decide, you can be sure that this is a great way to offer something that everyone will enjoy and get value from!

Aerial Adventure

Aerial Adventure days are a great outdoor educational tool, giving the participants a chance to use a wide range of key skills (both personal and practical) including Communication, Trust, Confidence, Leadership, Determination and Teamwork. The Aerial course at the Hop Farm offers low ropes and high ropes elements such as the Jacobs ladder, Leap of Faith and Zip Wires and in 2010, the introduction of a giant 3G Swing and Power Fan. Aerial adventure days are great for giving students a sense of personal achievement and are always very popular as Team Building Days

Woodland Adventure

Woodland adventure is a great activity for pre school and primary school children and can help to support a number of Key stage 1 and 2 science criteria for Life Processes and Living things. Topics covered include identifying insects and plants, woodland habitats and also protecting the environment. Learning is always carried out in a fun and practical way and activities include nature trails, bug catchers and bark rubbings.

Watersports

Watersports are a great activity for older children and teenagers, and can serve as a challenge for both individuals and teams. The River Medway passes through the Hop Farm, and the slow moving water and tranquil setting prove as an excellent setting for both novices and any of the more experienced participants. Treejumpers will be operating both Raft Building and Canoeing from Late spring 2010. As day trips the activities will be available to small and medium group sizes, while larger groups will benefit from taking part in a watersports activity as part of a residential experience.

Paintball*

Paintballing is a really great team activity and a win depends on good communication, trust, problem solving, strategic thinking and a bit of healthy competitiveness! Treejumpers will provide all of the necessary safety gear making a great day out for the over 12’s!

Note

*Paintballing is currently located at Woodland Park, near brands hatch and will remain at this site until the early part of 2010 before moving to the Hop Farm.
